How can we help?

Find answers to the most common questions about Mathic.

Getting started
Which year groups does Mathic cover?
Mathic covers Year 1 through Year 6 of the UK National Curriculum (ages 5–11). The free plan includes Year 1 and Year 2. A paid subscription unlocks Years 1–6 in full.
Is Mathic aligned to the UK National Curriculum?
Yes. Every topic, island, and question in Mathic is mapped to the UK National Curriculum for primary mathematics (Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2). We follow the White Rose Maths sequence — the same scheme used by thousands of UK primary schools — so what your child does in Mathic directly supports what they're learning in class.
How do I change my child's year group?
Open the Mathic app → tap Settings → tap your child's name → tap Year Group → select the correct year. Changes take effect immediately.
Can I add more than one child?
Yes. The free plan supports 1 child profile. A paid subscription supports up to 4 child profiles under one parent account, each with their own progress, year group, and settings.
Subscriptions & billing
How do I cancel my subscription?
If you subscribed through the App Store: Go to Settings on your iPhone → tap your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Mathic → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

If you subscribed through mathic.app: Log in at mathic.app/account and cancel from your account page. No phone calls needed.
I paid but my app still shows the free version.
Open and close the Mathic app once — it checks for subscription updates automatically on launch. If it still shows the free version after 60 seconds, pull down on the main screen to refresh. If the problem persists, email us at hello@mathic.app with your account email and we'll resolve it within a few hours.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
When you start a subscription, your first 7 days are completely free — no charge is made during this period. If you cancel before the 7 days are up, you will not be charged anything. After 7 days, your chosen plan (monthly or annual) begins automatically.
Can I switch from monthly to annual?
Yes. Cancel your current monthly subscription (your access continues until the billing period ends), then subscribe to the annual plan at mathic.app/subscribe or through the App Store. You won't lose any of your child's progress.
I was charged but I cancelled during the trial.
If you were charged in error, email hello@mathic.app within 14 days with your account email address and we'll arrange a refund promptly.
Privacy & safety
Is Mathic safe for children?
Yes. Mathic contains no advertising, no social features, no in-app purchases visible to children, and no external links. We comply with the ICO's Age-Appropriate Design Code (UK Children's Code) and GDPR-UK. Children do not create accounts — only parents do.
What data do you collect about my child?
We collect only what is needed to provide the service: your child's nickname, year group, and learning progress (questions answered, scores, islands completed). We do not collect your child's email address, location, or any sensitive personal data. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my account and all data?
Open the Mathic app → Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your parent account and all child profiles. Alternatively, email privacy@mathic.app and we will delete everything within 30 days.
